Change

An ending without a dramatic reason

Something can be finished even if it was not terrible.

LushClover · 02

You keep looking for permission

A volunteer role, club or personal project no longer fits. Because there was value in it, you feel you need a major complaint before you are allowed to leave.

LushClover · 03

Describe what has changed

Your time, interests or responsibilities may be different. You can appreciate what the activity gave you and recognize that you cannot continue in the same way.

LushClover · 04

Consider the commitments involved

If other people depend on you, plan an appropriate handover or notice period. Ending thoughtfully includes practical responsibilities; it does not require staying indefinitely.

LushClover · 05

Use a truthful explanation

“I have valued being part of this, and I need to step back after this month.” Add relevant details without building a case that the whole experience was a mistake.

LushClover · 06

Carry the useful part with you

Keep a friendship, a skill or a memory from the experience. An ending does not erase those things. You can close a chapter without needing to dislike everything that happened in it.

Stay a little longer

Another thought to take with you.
