Change

Friendship after the timetable changes

A relationship may need a new routine when the old shared setting disappears.

LushClover · 02

The easy contact ends

A colleague leaves, a class finishes, or one of you moves. You used to see each other without planning. Now every conversation requires a decision neither person previously had to make.

LushClover · 03

Name what you want to keep

Tell them you would like to stay in touch. Be specific about what you enjoyed: the lunch conversations, shared interest or easy company. Do not assume the other person already knows.

LushClover · 04

Try a rhythm that fits now

An occasional call or a monthly walk may be more realistic than recreating daily contact. Ask what works for both of you and leave room to revise it.

LushClover · 05

Let the conversation change

You may no longer know the same people or daily details. Ask about their new world and offer pieces of yours. Familiarity can continue without relying on the setting that introduced you.

LushClover · 06

Notice the relationship you have

Some friendships become less frequent and remain meaningful. Others fade. You can make an honest invitation without deciding in advance that every change in contact must mean the connection was never real.
