Everyday life

Keep a small record of good things

You can remember a pleasant detail without insisting that the whole day was good.

LushClover · 02

The difficult part dominates the retelling

There was a frustrating call and a missed bus. There was also a funny exchange with a stranger, but it disappears when you summarize the day as terrible.

LushClover · 03

Save one specific moment

Write a sentence, keep a photograph you already took, or tell someone the story. Choose a detail you actually enjoyed rather than searching for the response you think you should have.

LushClover · 04

Leave the hard parts intact

The pleasant moment does not cancel the frustration. You can record both. A fuller memory need not become an argument that you were wrong to feel upset.

LushClover · 05

Keep the practice light

You do not need a streak, a special notebook or a minimum number of entries. Use it when you want to preserve something that would otherwise pass unnoticed.

LushClover · 06

Read it as a collection, not a score

Over time you may have a few ordinary moments worth revisiting. They are pieces of your days, not evidence that every day must be beautiful to have been lived well.
