Everyday life

Make the rainy-day version

A plan with only ideal conditions may need a second version.

LushClover · 02

The weather changes the morning

You planned to go outside, but the rain is heavy. The familiar response is to abandon the idea entirely and promise to start again when the week becomes easier.

LushClover · 03

Find the purpose of the plan

Was it movement, fresh air, a break from work, or time with someone? Knowing the purpose helps you choose an alternative instead of trying to imitate every detail indoors.

LushClover · 04

Choose a smaller substitute

You might move comfortably at home, meet your friend somewhere sheltered, or take a quiet break away from the desk. Adapt to your space and ability rather than forcing an unsuitable activity.

LushClover · 05

Keep the second version ready

Write down the alternative once. The next rainy morning then requires a choice between two workable plans, rather than a fresh argument about whether the day counts.

LushClover · 06

Allow a day off too

Sometimes the sensible choice is to rest or attend to something more pressing. A backup plan is an option, not a device for removing all flexibility from ordinary life.
