Everyday life

Take the familiar route a little differently

You may not need a new destination to notice something new.

LushClover · 02

You know every turn

The route to the store has become a stretch of time to get through. Your attention is usually on what you will do when you arrive or what you forgot before leaving.

LushClover · 03

Pick one thing to notice

Look for a color, a doorway or the way the season has changed a tree. Keep your attention on safe travel first. This is a small invitation, not a challenge to become absorbed.

LushClover · 04

Let recognition slow you briefly

Perhaps a shop has changed its display or a neighbor has planted flowers. You do not need to photograph it. Noticing can end with simply having seen it.

LushClover · 05

Choose another form if you prefer

From a window, on public transport or during a seated break, you can also look outward. The useful question is what is available where you are, not whether you can follow a particular route.

LushClover · 06

Bring back a small detail

When someone asks about your day, you may have something ordinary to mention. The destination stayed the same, but the stretch in between was part of your life too.

Stay a little longer

Another thought to take with you.
