Emotional patterns

A mistake with edges

Something went wrong. That does not make everything about you wrong.

LushClover · 02

The error spreads in your description

You missed a booking. Within minutes, the sentence changes from “I forgot” to “I always ruin things.” A single event has become a summary of your character.

LushClover · 03

Put the edges back

What was missed, who was affected, and what can be repaired? These questions keep the mistake specific. They also leave room for responsibility without requiring a verdict on your entire self.

LushClover · 04

Take the useful action

Apologize, rearrange what you can, or pay the fee if that is yours to cover. Choose the action that addresses the impact rather than the one that most visibly punishes you.

LushClover · 05

Change one part of the setup

Would a reminder or a shared calendar help? You can learn from the event without building a system around the belief that you can never be trusted.

LushClover · 06

Let repair have an ending

Once you have done what is possible, continuing to insult yourself does not improve the booking. Carry the lesson forward in a form you can use, and leave the larger accusation behind.
